HomeStains, Dyes & Decorative ConcreteProline

Product Details

Proline Dura-Stain is a penetrating, chemical reactive acid stain that reacts with the minerals in concrete and in Proline's resurfacing mixes. It turns ordinary concrete into the variegated look of natural stone, with earth-tone colors that mottle naturally and will not fade, chip or peel. It also works over concrete colored with Proline Dura-Color Hardener and Dura-Release, and on stamped concrete.

One gallon covers about 200 to 400 sq ft at full strength, or it can be diluted up to 20:1 for lighter colors. Concrete should be cured at least 28 days and cleaned with a detergent (not acid washed). Apply by brush or with an acid-resistant pump sprayer with plastic tips; the stain should fizz. Leave it at least 4 hours, then after 24 hours scrub, neutralize with household ammonia or baking soda, and rinse thoroughly. Seal with a Proline sealer once the surface is completely dry, usually at least 24 hours after the last rinse. Make a test section first: the color in the jug is not the final color.
