Simiron MVB is a 100% solids, two-component epoxy primer for concrete floors with moisture vapor transmission (MVT) problems. It is applied directly to the concrete to reduce the adhesion loss and blistering that MVT causes, and it is resistant to MVT up to 25 lbs per 1,000 sq ft in 24 hours (ASTM F1869) or 95% relative humidity (ASTM F2170).
It mixes 2 parts base to 1 part activator by volume and is applied at a nominal 16 mils, about 100 sq ft per gallon. With the standard activator it takes light foot traffic after about 24 hours at 72°F; a fast activator is also made and can be used down to 50°F. Decorative chip can be broadcast directly into MVB.
